Submission FAQ

What types of submissions do you accept?

We accept the following types of submissions: Real Weddings, Styled Shoots/Editorials, Elopements, Vow Renewals, Engagement Sessions, Entertaining & Lifestyle Shoots, DIY Projects, Proposals, Honeymoon & Travel Sessions, & more (just ask us if you’re not sure!).

What do you look for in submissions?

Our aesthetic is modern, unique, and bold. We’re looking to feature content that is innovative, provocative, and makes us feel something. We love modern design, appreciate authentic love, and value transparent pricing.

Easiest ways to get featured on Bronte Bridë? Show us something new, make us feel something big, or educate our brides (like with transparent pricing or delicious recipes)!

We’re looking for inspiration for the modern bride, so show us something we haven’t seen yet! We gravitate towards bold colour, minimalistic design, unique venues, feminine styling, and modern love.

how many images should i include in the gallery?

For lifestyle, entertaining, engagement sessions, and vow renewals, please include 25-40 high quality images in your submission.

For real weddings and styled shoots, please include 80-150 high quality images in your submission.

We love having a selection, so please, more is more!

when will i know if my submission is being featured?

We truly appreciate you taking the time to submit your work or wedding to us! Our goal is to respond to submissions within 10 business days. If you do not hear back from us in that time, feel free to follow up and send us an email to inquire about the submission status.

what is “included” in a feature with bronte bride?

Have you ever had a submission be accepted by a “big blog” just to find out that it didn’t include what you thought it was going to, and their feature barely consisted of a blog post and Instagram story “shoutout”? We’ve had it happen one too many times to us too (once is all you need) so we understand how frustrating it is to be left in the dark.

We value transparency. So we’ve decided to establish 4 kinds of features here at Bronte Bride, and shared what each consists of, so you know exactly what to expect when your feature date comes. Scroll down to read about the different types of features.

what if my submission doesn’t get featured?

First off, thank you for taking the time to submit your work or wedding to Brontë Bride, we really appreciate it, and you! Due to our intentional posting schedule and modern aesthetic guidelines, we cannot accept every submission we receive. If your submission is declined, please know that it only means that this shoot may not be the right fit for us (for a variety of reasons), not that you are not the right fit for us! We would love to work with you, so please continue to keep us in mind when shooting and submitting features in the future!

exclusivity

We do not have strict exclusivity policies, because we believe beautiful content should be seen and shared! However, we do want to share content that is as novel and fresh as possible, and we also want to make sure we are abiding by other blogs' publication policies. So if your submission has been published or featured previously, please make sure to include when and where in your submission.

Preference will be given to shoots/weddings that have occurred within the last 4 months and have not been featured elsewhere.

vendor credits

Please make sure to include every vendor involved! Please note that we share vendor lists exactly as how they are sent to us, so please make sure to include URLs as well as IG handles, and double check everything is correct. If you happen to make a mistake and notice it after submitting, just send us a follow up email with the correction if your submission is accepted to be featured. If a mistake occurs in the submission, or on social media, please let us know and we will be sure to rectify the situation as soon as we can.

types of features

We value transparency. So we’ve decided to establish 4 kinds of features here at Bronte Bride, and shared what each consists of, so you know exactly what to expect when your feature date comes.

the Collaborative feature

Collaborative feature posts are ones that include multiple vendors from a variety of different shoots and weddings. Their purpose is to give the modern bride inspiration for a specific wedding element, or advice on a certain topic. One post could have up to 12 different businesses or vendors participating! (See Pro Tips Posts for an example.)

What’s included in a Collaborative Feature:

  • Featured image and/or tip in the related blog post

  • Vendor credit with website link (for yourself and corresponding photographer)

  • Potential feature image on the Brontë Bride Instagram Page (only 1-3 vendors chosen)

  • Social media promotion of blog post, and included Instagram Story graphics & vendor tagging

the STANDARD feature

We use Notable features to showcase many of our submissions. Smaller submissions like engagements, vow renewals, or entertaining & lifestyle editorials will almost always be a Notable Feature. This style of feature is also the perfect fit for shoots and weddings that are beautiful and feature-worthy, but not exceedingly novel or unprecedented. This is our most standard feature for weddings and styled shoots, as well as for more unique “smaller" submissions.

What’s included in a STANDARD Feature:

  • Complete blog post featuring images, vendor quotes & a write up from Brontë Bride; includes full vendor list with corresponding website links

  • Featured post on the Brontë Bride Instagram Page

  • Featured post on the Brontë Bride Facebook Page

  • Online promotion of blog post, and included Instagram Story graphics & vendor tagging

  • “Featured on the Brontë Bride Blog” Website Badge

the showcase feature

Showcase features are our most comprehensive features. We’re very picky about when we use them, but when we come across a wedding or shoot that has so many unique and stunning elements that we couldn’t possibly fit all of our excitement into one social media posting… we use the Showcase feature. These are for large production styled shoots, beautiful real weddings that come with a lovely story, and submissions that include details like transparent pricing, DIY projects, full recipes, and more.

What’s included in a SHOWCASE Feature:

  • Extended blog post featuring images, vendor quotes & a write up from Brontë Bride; includes full vendor list with corresponding website links.

  • 3 featured posts on the Brontë Bride Instagram Page

  • At least 1 featured post on the Brontë Bride Facebook Page

  • Online promotion of blog post for 3-5 days, and included Instagram Story graphics & vendor tagging

  • “Featured on the Brontë Bride Blog” Website Badge

the guest feature

Guest features occur when 1 of 3 things happen. Either (1) we interview the guest in order to write a feature blog post about them, (2) we feature an amazing new product from a vendor partner*, or (3) the guest comes onto the blog and writes their own post as a guest author*.

What’s included in a GUEST Feature:

  • Complete blog post featuring images, vendor quotes & a write up from Brontë Bride; includes full vendor list with corresponding website links

  • Featured post on the Brontë Bride Instagram Page

  • Featured post on the Brontë Bride Facebook Page

  • Online promotion of blog post and guest vendor; promotion includes Instagram Story graphics & vendor tagging

* must be a Brontë Bride partner
